◈ Abstract : An example is “My chip consumes 100mW”. Power consumption cannot  be declared as a concrete number because there are so much inaccuracies and uncertainties involved during the estimation. Another example is the statement that “My chip consumes 100mW and this is the lowest I can get”. After understanding that a chip is typically designed with huge amount of margins, it is easy to see that the limit is far beyond. A few of these things, which often go unnoticed but deserve careful consideration, are addressed in this talk.
